The Selangor Muddle - Chinese To Get Skewered
Lets do a walkabout :
1. Anwar becomes MB Selangor
2. The PAS will lose out
2. The PAS will lose out
3. The DAP is going to get skewered
4. The Chinese will get skewered too.
5. Anwar cuts a deal with Najib.
6. Anwar rejoins UMNO.
7. Nurul becomes Minister.
8. Malaysians, especially Malays, continue to get screwed
Here are two news items :
Umno and BN leaders should take up Anwar Ibrahim's call for a national consensus to address issues affecting religion and harmony in the country. Umno vice president Zahid Hamidi said the call from the PKR adviser was a proactive move and should be considered.
And here is Anwar's reply.
Anwar Ibrahim described as positive Umno vice-president Zahid Hamidi’s response to national consensus on critical issues facing the nation. Anwar said on Monday that this was the first positive response from a senior Umno leader to his call for a consensus between Barisan Nasional and Pakatan on such issues.
Well Zahid was Anwar's sidekick in UMNO. Recall that 'Crony episode' in 1997? It looks like their passion has not waned. Imagine Zahid as PM and Anwar as MB of Selangor.
Not all of this is speculation. Khalid Ibrahim the MB of Selangor is already set to lose his perch. Thats the news floating around the past few days.
That Chinese PKR ADUN fellow from Kajang has been asked to vacate his seat. (Told you the Chinese will get skewered). There will be a by election. Anwar Ibrahim will most likely take up his spot. Seeing that UMNO is brimming with the brain dead the PKR will have no problem securing the seat again. (Unless the Chinese do their thing again).
Anwar will then become MB. That RM3.0 Billion in reserves that Khalid has built up in Selangor will get spent. After all it is not their money. How it will be spent and who will get rich I can guess. If the potholes get fixed in PJ and Selangor that will be not too bad. If the potholes dont get fixed, but the money is spent it means everyone gets screwed. Lets wait and see.
Conclusion : The Chinese have to think very hard.
