Apa lagi yang Najib boleh buat?
Former Utusan group editor and ex-Information Minister Zainuddin Maidin has written a good summary of Najib Razak.
I’m listing Zam’s observations in bullet points below.
THE BANGSAWAN
His strengths:
- Najib dapat mengawal emosinya
- bertoleransi
- bertolak ansur
- bermaafan
In short, Najib displays “pegangan kuat kepada tradisi politik [Umno]” or the best of Umno prime ministerial traditions in the spirit of Dato’ Onn — aristocrat and gentleman.
THE WAFFLER
His weaknesses:
- sikap indecisive
All the quotes in BM above are taken from the Tan Sri’s blog, Zamkata (16 Jan 2014).
“Najib bergerak macam kura-kura”
The ISA abolition
Zam made a further pointed observation about the PM’s ineffectualness, saying “jika berikan ISA pada Najib pun tidak akan berkesan”.
Zam has also this to say:
Zam’s Najib the Tortoise critique follows up with a point to ponder:

Najib upset by the J-Star report that “kangkung can kill“
My views
Nothing can satisfy the opposition — NOTHING!
Zam asks if Najib truly believes that the public will return their support to the government if the Court appears to have made an impartial decision.
The truth of the matter is that when a court decision favours the opposition, their supporters will say that it merely shows how at least one brave judge is incorrupt. However when the court decides against them, they will say that the whole judiciary is under Umno’s thumb.
With the oppo people, nothing that the government does is right. And the government can do no right in their eyes either. Let Najib auction all his wife’s Birkin bags for charity, book her in economy class flights, pack her off to live in a pekan … you can rest assured that nothing can ever appease the bloodthirsty Pakatan-voting public.
Najib has been faithfully wearing the 1Malaysia pin on his lapel for more than 3 years, abolished the ISA and tried toroll back Malay privileges yet he is ridiculed by the Dapsters day in day out. He even endorsed the 10-point solution to share ‘Allah’ with the Christians but still the evangelistas stick their venomous scissors into his back.
What more can Najib do? Telan dan terus telan aje segala tohmahan?
