Ooops...Clueless Gomen Ruining Peace, Harmony & Stability

Clueless Gomen Ruining Peace, Harmony & Stability

Yes more bad news. Bad news because the gomen is totally clueless about what they are doing.

Someone said the gomen leaders are now like "porn stars". They have no sense of value or shame anymore. They can go naked in public and they dont know they are doing something that is abnormal.

In short they have become like the religious people. Those guys can crap in the middle of the street and they think they are doing their "god's" work. They are 'porn stars' too.

For those of you who read my Blog regularly I have pointed out again and again and againthat the Minimum Wage bill will create massive unemployment, especially among Malays and bumiputras It will also cause very high inflation

Both things are happening now.  I told you so.

When the prices go up, the Minimum Wage becomes nonsensical because although people get more wages they will have to pay higher prices. Its back to square one.

And the latest? Stationery prices will be going up 20% - 30%. Here is the news from The Star:
  • Stationery prices expected to go up
  • stationery items to go up 20% to 30% first quarter of next year
  • revising prices partly due to minimum wages
  • electricity tariff, higher fuel price & exchange rate ringgit & renminbi
  • increase in toll and rental also contribute to increase
  • paper, clips, stapler, pencil, pen, colour pencil, file, exercise book, marker, duster
For those of you who still dont understand - it is not difficult at all. This is Malaysia. Here we have a multi-racial, multi religious, multi cultural, multi lingual population who have different social and economic "skill sets".  You cannot impose the same economic policy on everyone.

For those of you who still cannot understand have you heard of the New Economic Policy?

Are you aware that the NEP applies only to the Malays and bumiputras? Why is that? There must be a reason for such a policy right? Why dont we apply the NEP also to the Chinese and the "not so poor" Indians? We dont. Because they already operate at a higher level of economic efficiency compared to the Malays and bumiputras.

So how do you apply the Minimum Wage policy across the board - applying equally to all races when the different racial groups operate at different levels of economic efficiency?

On the one hand the NEP is saying 'masih wujud jurang perbezaan ekonomi antara kaum'. On the other hand the Minimum Wage Policy is saying the opposite 'tidak ada jurang perbezaan ekonomi antara kaum'. Terbalik pula.

This is not Finland / Korea / China / Japan where everyone has
  • same hair and eyes
  • shares the same religion / beliefs
  • speaks the same language
  • has the same levels of education and most importantly
  • shares the same work ethics
Minimum Wages will work better in such a sanitised and uniform society.

Minimum Wages will cause serious racial malfunctions in our society which has still not sorted out its racial imbalances.

Still tak faham? Let me share a real story with you. Two Japanese companies that opened electronic plants in Kelantan and Terengganu closed down and moved their plant to Selangor.

The reason was because the majority Malay workers in Kelantan and Terengganu refused to work overtime (on a seasonal basis). They were quite happy working just one shift. Their work ethicswere different. Duduk rumah kampong, makan makanan simple - so they did not feel a need to earn extra money to upgrade their standard of living.

The export nature of the factory's products enjoyed strong seasonal upsurge from overseas which required seasonal overtime work. But the workers refused to work overtime. The company was losing clients. So they shut down the factory and moved to Selangor. A few hundred Kelantanese and Terengganu people lost their jobs.

Now here is the question : Do you think the workers in Kelantan and Terengganu who lost their jobs really cared? I dont think so. They are still "going to heaven" ? Buat apa nak susah-susah kerja di kilang orang kafir?

They were obviously happy with their "low productivity". So imagine that the factory must now pay these workers 'Minimum Wages' of RM900.  Lagi cepat lah kilang akan tutup. Lingkup.

What is the net result? The net result is that yang akan jadi miskin dulu will be the Malays and bumiputras. Unemployment among Malays and bumiputras will increase.

In our own business we have already reduced our staff strength. We have not replaced two of our salesgirls who quit. Before Minimum Wages we paid them about RM750++. With OT the girls took home about RM1000. Plus commission even more.

Now Min Wage is RM900 and plus OT their pay packet is already RM1200. Plus also higher EPF contributions.  Cannot afford lah. We have decided to cut our staff.

Higher prices (like stationery going up 30%) will make the Malays and bumiputras poorer first.   Do you think the Chinese will become poorer first? Think again. They will just raise the prices. Because they are business people. They will pass through the price increases to the consumer.

So Minimum Wages will have very negative, racially-linked effects throughout the country.

What is my suggestion? Just quietly KIV enforcement of the Minimum Wages. No enforcement of Minimum WagesLet the market decide how much they want to pay.

You dont want to believe me - fine. But there will be a price to pay for the Minimum Wages. People will suffer. They are already losing their jobs. Prices are going up. They are becoming poorer already. Finally they will throw you out.

Now here is something from our clueless Prime Minister :

PM: Maintain peace, harmony and stability.

GEORGE TOWN: Peace, harmony and stability that Malaysians have been enjoying should be likened to the air that we breathe, says Najib.

I think the PM should write this down repeatedly on a long, long roll of rough sandpaper like this, roll it up again and shove it somewhere where the sun does not normally shine.

Here is something else folks. This is from Tun Dr Mahathir :

Dr. Mahathir Tidak Setuju Tindakan Kerajaan Menaikkan Harga Barang
  • Dr. Mahathir tidak bersetuju Kerajaan menaikkan harga barang keperluan
  • kerajaan sewajarnya mengurangkan pembaziran
I am not alone in saying what I am saying. Of course Ayahanda says it more diplomatically. We are doomed.

By the way please take the Poll.

Do you agree that the Prime Minister is clueless?

Yes or no?
