Anwar's Irresponsible Behaviour, Congrats To Khalid.

It is clear now that this Kajang Move by Anwar had absolutely nothing to do with the welfare of the people of Selangor. It was just a smokescreen to deviate peoples' attention from the Sodomy Appeal which Anwar has now lost. 

History will record Anwar as the greatest bungler. Thinking straight is simply not his forte. Thinking strategically is also not in his capacity at all. They still have not explained why Anwar Ibrahim ran away to the Turkish Embassy for FOUR days after Saiful made his Police Report that Anwar had sodomised him. Do you all remember that circus episode? 

It is obvious that the outcome of the Sodomy Appeal will not have any bearing on the public at all. Why? Because those who care are pre occupied with the Kajang By Election. The rest simplydont care. Whether Anwar goes to jail, sodomy or sodomee, Kajang By Election or whatever people are just getting tired. The word is relevance. Is it relevant at all to determine the price of fish at the Pasar Borong? The answer is no. Who cares?

On the other hand, if Anwar did not engineer the Kajang By Election and instead whipped up the crowds and the Catholic Church to attend his Sodomy Appeal, that may have garnered more public support. But now its too late. The Catholic fathers are having their thosai or bah kut teh as the case may be. No one significant from the Catholic Church attended Anwar's Sodomy Appeal. The Pope Francis certainly is NOT going to send his wishes (of any sort) to Anwar.  

The responsible thing to do would have been to wait for the outcome of the Sodomy Appeal. Only then call for a By Election. But he has never been a responsible fellow at all. A snake oilsalesman who first decided to exploit the Muslims. After that the non Muslims. 

Anyway it has transpired now that Khalid Ibrahim, the MB of Selangor is the real smart guy in Selangor. Khalid is not dumb like Anwar at all. Khalid has quietly been to see the Sultan of Selangor and told the Sultan that he would NOT be resigning as Menteri Besar. Here be the news today :

• Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim (pic) today admitted that he met with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah about his stand on holding onto his position.
• Khalid's admission confirms earlier reports that he had met with the Sultan of Selangor after receiving a letter from PKR on his resignation early last month.
• He said that he had explained his stand not to relinquish the post to the executive council.
• "I have informed the Sultan and the exco of my intention," he told a press conferenceafter a meet-the-people session at Dewan Taman Mesra in Kajang.
• It is now believed that his "intention" refers to his decision to remain as menteri besar.
• Last week, Khalid announced that he will be contesting the PKR deputy president post in the party's elections next month.

With Anwar now found guilty by the Court of Appeal, this move by Khalid was even more astute. (I wonder if he read my urgent request to him - NOT to resign until the Court of Appeal verdict was in.) At least wait and see the outcome of the Appeal. Now Khalid remains as MB, Azmin can eat crow and the other kids like Rafizi can just bungle along. 

And now the fighting has started in the PKR.  This is also from the Malaysian Insider 

• PKR has a list of replacement candidates for the Kajang by-election 
• PKR "leadership" has identified one candidate – "no" strategy director, Rafizi Ramli 
• Azmin Ali has denied there were contingency plans 
• Another party insider said it had a candidate on standby 
• "looking at other potential party members 

Rafizi wants to run. Azmin does not agree. There maybe yet another candidate. The fighting has begun. Anyway the sentiment against the BN is so bad now that even if the PKR fielded a recycled condom with multiple DNA samples within, they will still win. The people are still fed up with the BN.

There is a consensus developing. Let Khalid run Selangor. Khalid is proving to be a scandal free MB. This is his second term.

The only scandalous news about him is how Bank Islam wrote off his RM50 million hutang, allegedly brokered by a well known UMNO lawyer. And Khalid's signing of the Water MOU with the gomen. Maybe one day Khalid will join UMNO or BN.
