‘I did not implicate PM, wife in Altantuya’s murder’
KUCHING: Blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin denied implicating the prime minister or his wife in Altantuya Shaariibuu’s murder.
The Malaysia Today editor said he was urged and influenced to make a statutory declaration (SD) on the matter by several individuals who did not want Datuk Seri Najib Razak to take over as prime minister.
Raja Petra broke his silence on the matter during a recent interview in Perth with TV3 group editor Datuk Ashraf Abdullah, which was aired on TV3 last night.
Raja Petra said the SD he made on June 18, 2008 was based on information he obtained from those individuals.
He said many people, including the police, had made accusations without referring to the SD.
The SD stated that Raja Petra received information that Najib’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, was supposedly present at the location where Altantuya was murdered.
“In my SD, I said that this person said it, let this person come to tell about it.
And the authorities need to investigate and contact this person. That is what I wrote in the SD. I myself did not raise any allegation.
“I did not say I knew the deputy prime minister’s wife then was at the scene of the incident. I did not say that. I did not make such an accusation.
“What I said was someone talked (about it) but it is up to the authorities to investigate further and for them to come forward. And I mentioned their names. I mentioned them during the police investigation.” Raja Petra said he received the information from individuals who had associations with political figures, including opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
These individuals included one Nik Azmi Nik Daud, John Pang and blogger Din Merican. He said an intelligence officer with the armed forces, known as Lt-Col Azmi Zainal Abidin, also gave the same information.
“I had not received that story. Because I think it may be impossible.
Why would the prime minister’s wife want to go to such a place because it is a forested area and I think if she wanted to hike up the hill, enter the forest in the middle of the night, at midnight, I think it may be impossible.” Raja Petra said the ultimate aim was to ensure that Najib did not take over as prime minister when Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi stepped down from his post.
Raja Petra said during his meeting with Nik Azmi, he was asked why he was forced to make the statutory declaration.
“He said Pak Lah (Abdullah) will relinquish his post, if we do not block Najib, Najib will become prime minister and replace Pak Lah.” Raja Petra said he later asked Din Merican to get confirmation from Anwa r.
“Din Merican also contacted me again and said he spoke with Anwar and Anwar gave the green light. He said ‘OK, this person has no problem.
Whatever he says, we can trust.’ “Anwar was close to this person and he is used to meeting Anwar...

ANWAR BERTANGGUNGJAWAB KAITKAN NAJIB DENGAN ALTANTUYA?
Semakin terdedah kini!Kes mengaitkan Datuk Serti Mohd Najib Razak dengan kes pembunuhan Altantuya Shaariibuu ada kaitan dengan ‘lampu hijau’ daripada Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar lagi?
Tujuan dikaitkan Najib dengan Altantuya ialah menyekat beliau daripada menjadi Perdana Menteri. Kesian Najib.
Tetapi yang penting, gelagat dan perangai Anwar semakin terserlah lagi.
Juga penting, Raja Petra ternyata dalam kes ini bukan menulis berdasarkan maklumat sahih tetapi berdasarkan kenyataan individu dan mungkin berdasarkan ‘grand design’ untuk menyekat Najib menjadi Perdana Menteri.

Pengendali Malaysia Today, Raja Petra Kamaruddin, mendedahkan akuan bersumpahnya yang mengaitkan Datuk Seri Najib Razak dengan kes pembunuhan Altantuya Shaariibuu adalah berdasarkan maklumat dan desakan beberapa individu bertujuan menyekat Najib daripada menjadi Perdana Menteri.
Katanya, beliau sendiri tidak pernah menuduh Perdana Menteri atau isterinya, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, terbabit dalam kes pembunuhan wanita Mongolia itu dan beliau kini tidak lagi mempercayai cerita individu tersebut.
Individu tersebut mempunyai kaitan dengan beberapa tokoh politik termasuk Penasihat Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, dan mereka mendesak tindakan itu diambil bagi menyekat Najib mengambil alih jawatan Perdana Menteri daripada Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yang akan meletakkan jawatan.
"Saya tidak terima lagi cerita itu. Sebab saya rasa mungkin mustahil kot. Takkanlah isteri Perdana Menteri nak pergi ke tempat itu, kawasan itu tempat hutan. Dan saya dok fikir nak panjat bukit, masuk hutan tengah tengah malam, 12 malam, saya ingat mustahil kot," katanya dalam temu bual eksklusif dengan Pengarang Kumpulan TV3 Datuk Ashraf Abdullah di Perth, Australia baru-baru ini.
Rakaman temu bual itu disiarkan dalam Buletin Utama TV3 malam semalam.
Raja Petra berkata dalam Akuan sumpah (SD) yang dibuatnya pada 18 Jun 2008, menyatakan beliau menerima maklumat daripada beberapa individu kononnya Rosmah berada di tempat kejadian semasa Altantuya dibunuh.
"Di dalam SD saya tadi saya telah bercerita bahawasanya orang ini telah beritahu dan biarlah orang ini yang datang dan bercerita, dan pihak berkuasa perlu siasat dan panggillah orang ini. "Itu yang saya tulis dalam SD. Saya sendiri tidak timbulkan apa-apa tuduhan. Saya tidak kata saya tahu yang isteri timbalan perdana menteri semasa itu ada di tempat kejadian," katanya.
Beliau berkata: "Saya tidak cakap. Saya tidak buat satu tuduhan seperti berikut. Yang saya kata ada orang yang bercerita tetapi bergantung kepada pihak berkuasalah untuk menyiasat perkara ini lebih lanjut lagi, dan untuk orang-orang ini ke depan.
"Dan saya sebut nama-nama orang ini. Saya sebut semasa siasatan polis," katanya.
Raja Petra berkata, individu yang memberinya maklumat tersebut terdiri daripada Nik Azmi Nik Daud, John Pang dan penulis blog Din Merican.
Selain itu, seorang pegawai perisik angkatan tentera yang dikenali sebagai Kolonel Azmi Zainal Abidin juga memberi maklumat yang sama.
Beliau berkata, dalam pertemuan dengan Nik Azmi, beliau telah bertanya kepada Nik Azmi kenapa beliau didesak untuk membuat akuan bersumpah itu dan bertanya: "Apa yang kau harapkan untuk dicapai? Dia kata Pak Lah akan letak jawatan, kalau kita tak sekat Najib, Najib akan menjadi perdana menteri, ganti Pak Lah."
Raja Petra berkata, beliau kemudian meminta Din Merican untuk mendapatkan pengesahan daripada Anwar. "Din Merican pun hubungi saya balik, dia kata dia dah cakap dengan Anwar dan Anwar pun bagi lampu hijau. Dia kata okey, orang ini tak ada masalah, apa dia cakap kita boleh percaya.
"Anwar pun kenal baik dengan dia ini dan dia pun biasa jumpa Anwar...Leftenan Kolonel ini, dan dia pun banyak bercerita kepada Anwar tentang isu ini...dia kata teruskan. Saya pun teruskan," katanya.
Raja Petra berkata, semua individu ini berjanji akan menjadi saksi sekiranya beliau didakwa di mahkamah.
