PETALING JAYA: CyberSecurity Malaysia has confirmed that the sex video implicating Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali is authentic, says Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador.
The Inspector-General of Police, however, said the agency could not identify the two men in the footage.
"The video and who are those in it are not within my jurisdiction. So we sent it to CyberSecurity to determine if the video is authentic and if CyberSecurity could ascertain who are in it.
"The answer we received ... they (CyberSecurity) said 'authentic' (tulen) but they cannot be 100% certain who are in it," he told RTM's Bicara Politikonomi on Wednesday (July 17) night.

"I hope the people will understand the constraints that I am facing in my responsibilities as the IGP.

"As I said before, this is a difficult case that cannot be resolved in one, two, or even three weeks," he said.
Previously, Abdul Hamid had said that police are exploring all angles in the investigation.
"Due to the complexity of the case, we are thoroughly investigating it.
"We cannot rush the investigation. Allow us to properly investigate the matter," he had said.
When asked on the authenticity of the video at an event in Wisma Pertahanan on Thursday (July 18), the IGP said he would issue a statement on the matter later.
The police have so far remanded nine people, including Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, who is the Perak PKR state chief and political secretary of PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Over the past month, clips of a sex video featuring two men were circulated to media personnel and PKR members.
This was followed by a confession video by Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, a PKR member and former political aide to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin, that he was one of the two men in the video.
