My comments : My question is 'If the Palestinians are divided into a thousand factions, then do you still need to divide them to rule them?'
Looks like this is what Israel is doing here. They are trying for a separate truce between Hamas (aka Muslim Brotherhood) in Gaza and Israel.
Leaving out Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority government in the West Bank. Also known as Fatah or PLO.
If this "truce" really happens it will be the biggest development in Palestine since the Oslo Accords of 1993 and 1995 which saw the creation of the Palestinian Authority and Yasser Arafat becoming the first President of the Palestinian Authority.
I still do not know how this separate truce between Israel and Hamas will lead to Donald Trump's 'Deal of the Century'.
What is most important is that the people of Gaza get all the food, medicine, clothing, housing, schooling for their kids, cars, jobs and economic opportunities and all the other things necessary for maintaining a good quality of life.
I hope the people of the Gaza will get to live in peace and prosperity.
