OH NO NAJIB!!! Hope it is NOT true!! Malaysian Insider : Anwar To Return To UMNO

Malaysian Insider : Anwar To Return To UMNO

First here is something from the Malaysian Insider.

AUGUST 14, 2013
  • Putrajaya's recent peace overtures to Anwar Ibrahim for unity government
  • Anwar has confirmed to the Asia Sentinel news portal that ex-Indonesian vice-president Jusuf Kalla (pic) has been acting as an intermediary.
  • "..They were concerned about Malaysia's future direction,"
  • Another government source confirmed the overtures
  • no aide would dare to move without getting the go-ahead from the boss.
  • Talk of a unity government has set off roiling speculation and created some unease among Umno politicians
  • moves come ahead of key polls in both Najib's Umno and Anwar's PKR
  • reported a possible meeting between Najib and Anwar in Jakarta in June
  • Anwar recently admitted there were peace overtures from Najib

Then here is something more direct from Another Brick In The Wall :  Pak Lah to bring back Anwar to UMNO?
  • rumours of Khairy meeting Anwar in Singapore as arranged by Kalimullah.
  • This blogger is aware that Pak Lah's men had a meeting, if not several meetings, with Anwar at the home of a long-time UMNO Member of Parliament.
  • This was confirmed to yours truly by a Khairy's Division Ketua Pemuda boy from Terengganu in front of another ex MRSM and political blog writer. There was Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Salahuddin Ayub, Dato' Mahfudz Omar, Khairy Jamaluddin, Dato Kamaluddin Abdullah and the UMNO MP as host.

This talk has been going around for a long time. Here are some smses I received along the same line:

 1. Najib obviously believes that if he gets Badawi's faction and Anwar's "sleeping cadres n sympathisers" support in UMNO, he can hold off any stiff challenges in UMNO elections. Trade off is KJ has easy passage in Youth and Anwar walks  on S***my 2 while Badawi's  boys prosper. If this happens it is fulfillment of condition precedents to other mutually rewarding schemes for these three  groups, which would have far reaching implications to the Malaysian political arena.

Question is how do PR partners like PAS and DAP react, while at the same time what do the other UMNO "War Lords" do?  Anwar has the devious skillful nature to pacify the two parties. Other than Mahathir, the War Lords may lack leadership quality to take on Najib. Would Mahathir want to do that at this time and jeopardise  his Mentri Besar son's political future?

2. The arrangements for Badawi and Anwar to work with Najib would be in the name of a "better" Malaysia.  Some believe it has Indonesian origins and prima facie looking at the actors, the presumption may seem to hold.

If one lifts  the veil the writers of the script for  this "movie" are people in another part of the world with the Indonesian and Malaysians as common friends. Their idea is to have friendly leadership in Goverment plus the Opposition in this region, aligned to their thinking This is to check any other countries (China?) from having a stranglehold in this region  and also showing their closeness to Muslim countries. This very big scenario is also to  weaken Mahathir, who may cause an "avalanche" to wipe out  their strategy.

3. I think in Wanita, Azalina currently is being pushed by Badawi and KJ. Do not forget she was very much a Badawi person.  The matter is picking up.  The Ministerial rank for KJ is a major booster and KJ wants to create himself as a force for people to align.

Badawi and Anwar are key to his long term strategy while Najib is of immediate requirement.  His young team of Advisors are every where ie with PM, KNB, PEMANDU, EPU, ISIS, MOF and so forth. Note he not only has the connection but the style and capability too.

Sun page 2, PKR defending Badawi that he did not conspire with PR. Why defend him!

Central to all this is the PM. He has been keeping extremely mum on these developments.

Just yesterday i was informed that money has been spent to buy airtime in the Blogs. The people spending the money are the same guys named above. The money is being spent to get 'PM friendly' column space. Siapa kata 'Saya sokong Najib' dapat sampul.

All this is absolutely time wasting and useless behaviour. It is just orang kaya helping out orang kaya to our money. Orang kaya rebut jawatan (tak kira Pembangkang ke, orang Gomen ke) untuk songlap duit rakyat.

Over Raya in Penang I met an old friend. His daughter was a top notch JPA scholar who just came back from the US with an engineering degree.  JPA cannot find her a job yet. Any job. So she has been attending Job Fairs in Penang. The Job Fairs are looking for engineers with experience. So these kids are now educated, university grads without jobs.

What about the hundreds of thousands of SPM leavers? Takkan semua boleh dapat kerja di McDonald's?

Who else is thinking about them? I have some ideas. Maybe we can share some of them here.  But who is going to listen? If jobs are created for new grads, how does that make these people richer? It does not. So why should they care?
